Creative writing workshop with Claire Dean, part of the Writing the Uncanny workshop series.

Forests are full of old tales and can provide fertile ground for the uncanny to grow. Drawing on the wonder and fear in fairy tales from childhood, together with local folklore and landscapes, in this in person workshop we’ll explore the possibilities working at the boundaries of the real and the imaginary can bring to short fiction. Through a series of writing exercises, discussions, and readings, you’ll leave with a trail of breadcrumbs you can follow in future work.
